[[Mher’s short bio]] ## 2000 Born in 2000, Yerevan, Armenia, into a family of a jeweler [[Rudolf Movsisyan]] and passport clerk [[Nune Badalyan]]. ## 2006 Went to Checkhov N55 public school in Yerevan, Armenia ## 2012 Went to Balboa Elementary School, California, USA ## 2013 Went to Toll Middle School, California, USA ## 2014 ### Published the first game [Pewds VS Zombers](https://gamejolt.com/games/Pewdszombers/39061) "Pewds vs Zombers" is the first game I built using C#, UnityScript, and the Unity game engine. It was built for a 72-hour game jam, which is an event where thousands of game developers around the world challenge themselves by trying to make a fully-fledged game in a short amount of time around a specified theme. The theme was "fun to play, fun to watch" and it was around a YouTuber named PewDiePie who is still the biggest individual on the YouTube platform. I, at the time, had recently turned 14 and was already trying new things such as coding, 3D modeling, game design, so I made a decision that changed my life. Inspired by a young game developer called Nelson Sexton, I said to myself: "He is 16 and he made an enjoyable and popular game, why should I not be able to?" After seeing all the positive feedback from the players and seeing that I liked coding, I started to learn software engineering. ## 2015 ### Yerevan State College of Light Industry Went to Yerevan State College of Light Industry majoring in Accounting and Economics (2015-2018). Learning foundational micro/macroeconomics, sociology, finance, tax law, accounting, and statistics allows me to apply my skills to real, competitive environments. ## 2016 ### Tax Calculator This was the first time I created a desktop application. I used C# and WinForms, this was a project inspired both by my laziness and by my zest for learning new things. It was a calculator that did my homework for a year by calculating the salaries of workers after tax. ## 2017 ### Khan Academy Learned mathematics through Khan Academy to prepare for university. ## 2018 ### American University of Armenia **Bachelors in Data Science. (2018-2024)** At this friendly and unique establishment, I was able to meet and network with hundreds of professionals and individuals who are eager to learn and share new knowledge. I got to explore new perspectives with gen ed courses, making me familiar with various cultures, sciences, and languages. #### Cube-JS 2D to 3D projection in Javascript #### ["Logic Cubed"](https://app.movsisyan.info/LogicCubed/)Team project With a team of three, we challenged ourselves, deciding to build an interactive single-page web app to encourage the young programmers to solve puzzles and expand their knowledge of the software world. We built a "Capture the flag" styled set of puzzles that test the user\`s understanding and interpretation of code. This project helped me get an idea of how it's like working in a team. ## 2019 ### Military Service Started mandatory military service in the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia. First as a howitzer squad trainee, then as a radio recon operator. #### Automated File Renamer This is a small app written in C# and XAML which allows the user to rename large amounts of similar files in a specified pattern and was developed without an internet connection. #### .Net ## Class Library for Signal Direction Finding using DFP1000B This is a class library written in C# without a network connection. The library provides a very simple way to work with and calculate signal direction data using two radio receivers. This library proved to be very useful since it allowed higher level software to calculate the orientation of the antennae without the use of a compass, determine where real sources of signals are compared to reflections from large terrain objects, determine the speed of a moving radio transmitter. #### .Net Class Libraries for AR5001 and AR2100 Radio Receivers These are class libraries written in C# with no network connection at the time of writing them, and they are used in the "VioletRecon" project. This provides an easy-to-use interface to work with the particular radio receivers and build high-level apps. #### "VioletRecon" Desktop App This desktop application is written in C# and XAML, using only the .Net library, and the libraries previously made by me as APIs/drivers for various radio receivers, with no connection to the internet. This piece of software allows the user to automatically detect and record various radio signals, and in practice has been proven to be more than 900% efficient when compared to manual use with default software. #### "Beeper" Team Schedule Desktop App This little app is a fun and useful tool for scheduling and maintaining team tasks. It screams out the name of the team member and their task at a previously specified time. (2021-2022) ### XGBoost: House Price Prediction Using XGBoost as an estimator, I led a team of three and built a pipeline capable of predicting house prices. After doing exploratory data analysis and hyper-parameter tuning we managed to achieve a score of 0.13.
