- [ ] Familiarize yourself with the project progress, deadlines, deliverables and metrics
- [ ] Read up on what previously blocked the team, review previous meeting notes
- [ ] Check on task statuses in Jira
- [ ] Identify which questions need team input
- [ ] Identify who should speak on which topic (does not mean anybody else is silenced)
- [ ] Plan how to facilitate participation from all team members, not just the most vocal
- [ ] Set time limits on the discussion, account for a few unexpected topics
- [ ] Guide the discussion with questions
- [ ] Prep visuals if needed
