The book of Job is one of my favorite books, in it we see the impalpable vastness of the world and its creator. One fascinating thing that intrigued me is Job 38:31, because the Pleiades are a cluster of stars that are gravitationally **bound**, and the Orion belt is **loose**. The Orion only appears to be together from the perspective of earth, but they are moving at different speeds and getting farther from one another.
This was written before 600BC, likely a thousand years earlier than that, yet somehow it contained information that we only discovered in the past 200 years. The gravitational binding of the Pleiades was confirmed 200 years ago and the divergent motion of the stars in Orions belt was only possible to detect recently, in the 20th century...
