The burst of progress got things done fast and you feel ecstatic about it, you've somehow easily surpassed people who've been at it for months in just a few days. Give it some time and that feeling won't last. You will encounter only a few obstacles that take more than your attention span to solve, and there you are, And that's when you have to switch your tool, similar to switching from a 12v handheld to a 240v wired one.

As we stay consistent for many years, we get used to the thing that we practice. Sure, the muscles may still get sore from the yesterdays workout almost like they did after the workout in the first month of your training, but the mental, the character-shaping force is close to zero. You've become a well disciplined person and you shine in that field, some of that progress has already seeped through to other fields, but you are at a plateau.

I haven't lived and experienced enough to write the rest of this essay, as I don't grasp the mechanics of how relying on God improves life. However, I have certainly experienced a few plateau-defeating moments, and I want that for you as-well.
