**Premise 1**. God is by nature existing unconditionally. If God were a conditional being, it would by definition need at least one thing to exist with. An example of a conditional being is a human dependent on water, food and shelter to avoid succumbing to entropy.
**Premise 2**. God is by nature and definition maximally good. This is (not solely) so because God dictates the metric for goodness.
God can only be love if he has someone to love. He cannot be only self-loving because self-love without love of someone else is not good, thus contradictory to his nature. In English there is no good word for it, but in Armenian there are the following words:
| Concept | English Equivalent | Ethical Connotation | Focus |
| ----------------- | ---------------------- | ------------------- | ---------------------------------------- |
| *Ինքնասիրություն* | Self-respect / Dignity | Positive / Virtue | Maintaining personal integrity and worth |
| **Եսասիրություն** | Selfishness / Egoism | Negative / Vice | Prioritizing self over others |
*Ինքնասիրություն* is literally root-by-root translated into "self-love".
**Եսասիրություն** is literally root-by-root translated into "ego-love".
In order for self-love to be possible, there must be circumstances (i.e. conditions) for certain values to be challenged and for the self-loving person to protect those values or themselves.
In order for ego-love to be possible, the person practicing ego-love must not be good.
Christianity has this problem solved ex obliquo, by having a Triune God who can exist unconditionally and still be love by loving the other persons in the Trinity.
