This is just a story, do not base your theology on this. --- Adam and Eve are walking the corrupted earth for the first time The sun sets and darkness overtakes the earth It is the first time Adam is experiencing darkness The serpent comes to Adam and tells him "Adam, fall down and worship me, and I will give you back the sunlight" Adam hesitates but agrees The next morning the sun comes up And the serpent has fooled mankind again
